LTTE must free the two surviving TMVP cadres abducted in Ja-ela and held incommunicado at Karadiyanaru

Colombo, 09 March, (Asiantribune.com): Tamil Makkal Viduthalai Pulikal led by Colonel Karuna demanded yesterday for the immediate release of the two of their surviving supporters who were abducted at Ja-ela and held incommunicado at the Karadiyanaru Intelligence camp of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.

Azad Mowlana, spokesman for the TMVP told “Asian Tribune” that Pradeep (24 Yrs) from Kannankudah and Rajkumar (26 Yrs) from Unnichchai in the Batticaloa district were the two of the total of seven TMVP supporters who came to Colombo and stayed at a lodge in Ja-ela, the outskirt of Colombo.

He said all the seven were from Batticaloa, came to Colombo in the middle of February to find employment in the Middle-East countries through Colombo based foreign recruitment agencies.

According to Azad Mowlana, subsequently all of them were promised of employment at Qatar and Oman and were waiting for their flights to those countries when they were abducted by the LTTE intelligence group.

TMVP spokesman confirmed that bullet ridden decomposing bodies found in the Muthrajawela swamp on Friday, the 02nd of March, by the Police are their supporters who came to Colombo to find employment in the Middle-East and were staying in a lodge in Ja-ela.

Azad Mowlana speaking to “Asian Tribune” said that all those slain men are their supporters. According to him the slain victims who were correctly identified by their relations as Karanasingham Suresh, Subramaniam Prabakaran, Siva Prakashan Madiruban, Kandasamy Vellayan, Ponnaia Kamal and they all were residents in Batticaloa.

Azad Mowlana said by the end of February they were all promised employment in Oman and Qatar and were waiting for their flight to Middle East.

He said suddenly all seven were missing from the lodge and through lawyers they made frantic inquiries in almost all the police stations in the Colombo district and even one of their lawyers went to Boosa Detention Centre to check whether they were arrested in one of those round ups and search operations jointly conducted by the armed forces and police and taken to the Boosa detention centre..

Spokesman for the TMVP said now it has been confirmed that five of them were abducted by the LTTE and killed and dumped in the Muthrajawela swamp.

He said after inquiries they have received messages confirming that Pradeep and Rajkumar are abducted by the LTTE and taken to LTTE’s intelligence camp at Karadiyanaru in the Batticaloa district and held incommunicado by the LTTE cadres.
