India repatriates to Pakistan 25 prisoners including a hardcore terrorist

From M Rama Rao - Reporting for Asian Tribune from New Delhi.

New Delhi, 20 November, (Asiantribune.com): India has repatriated 25 Pakistani civilian prisoners, including hardcore terrorists, Farid Mir and Janat Gul, who had completed their sentence.

They were handed over to Pakistani authorities at the Wagha check post near Amritsar on the Indian side on Saturday.

Before leaving for home, Farid Mir told reporters that he might once again set out his mission of jihad.

"Since I had crossed over to India with the motive of jihad I was arrested in Jammu and Kashmir. Now on reaching Pakistan territory once again I may start my mission of jihad may be this time from Afghanistan or America", he said, adding, ".I don't have any grudge the days I have spent in the Indian jail".

Mir crossed the Line of Control in Kashmir in 1997 and entered Jammu. One of his early acts was a jail break. He almost succeeded, according to the police; he had dug out a 140 feet long tunnel to reach into the Kotbalwal jail. But in the last stages of his operation, he was caught and jailed for six years.
