Indian police issue sketch of serial blasts suspect, trace links to Muzaffarabad in Pak held Kashmir

By M Rama Rao – Reporting from New Delhi

New Delhi, 03 November (Asiantribune.com): There is some progress in the investigations into three serial bomb blasts that had rocked Indian capital and claimed some 70 lives last week.

The Delhi police have released a sketch of the prime suspect. The investigators also traced mobile phone call made to Muzaffarabad in Pak held Kashmir immediately after the third blast at Govindpuri in south Delhi.

This clearly established the linkage with Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), though it had denied its involvement, police officials said.

According to the police, a call was made from a mobile phone from Govindpuri at around 6.05 pm to another mobile phone in Srinagar and immediately, from the Srinagar number a call was made to Muzaffarabad. Both the Srinagar and Muzaffarabad numbers belong to the LeT and this makes investigators conclude that the call could be to convey the 'successes of the strike.
