Much listened and talked about Prachanda in Urban centers with curiosity "who is a Prachanda", "how he is" and "what is his personality" in the past 10 years. Since the beginning of the people’s war in 1996, Prachnada, a term has made either negative or positive impressions in the heart and mind of the people from statements on Maoist people’s war, Nepal Bandha etc.

Only in 10 years short period, Prachanda has achieved ever and never popularity in Nepalese society and political arena. It is said that the popularity hasn’t excited him to be public, like comrade Dr. Babu Ram Bhattarai. In the exploring eye of Journalist and security forces, he could escape in this period. Day by day he has become a mystery to the people from which Prachanda was a character of tea gossip.

On the occasion of 10th anniversary of the people’s war of Maoist, comrade Prachanda has made himself public through the media including the print media, Kantipur Daily and Kathmandu Post and electronic media, BBC. In Kantipur TV’s Frontline interview of editor of Kantipur Daily, Narayan Wagle and of Kathmandu Post, Prateek Pradhan, they disclosed that Maoist party for giving interview of Prachanda invited them.

According to Professor David Gellener, Oxford University in BBC commented to it political propaganda. Developing situations and Maoist activities are said that Prachanda has to justify to Maoist people’s war and to send political message lubricating the literate population and the middle class people of Urban and also the international community (India, USA, UK, EU etc) for minimizing negative image as terrorist tag. It is said that the public of Prachanda is Maoist tactic to impress Kathmandu for ascending central power.
