LTTE’s denial of killing Lakshman Kadirgamar failed to convince the International community.

Colombo, 13 August, ( The Tamil rebel outfit’s web based online Medias have hastened with the statement of denial of involvement in the assassination of Sri Lanka's Foreign Minister Mr. Lakshman Kardirgamar, but the it has miserably failed to convince the international community.

S.Paramu Tamilselvan, the political head of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), it was reported, has condemned Colombo for hastily blaming the Liberation Tigers for the killing.

According reports appearing in Tamil Net and Puthinam Tamilselvan has said that there are several forces opposed to the Cease Fire Agreement (CFA) in the South and tried his best to shift the doubt on those elements.

"We also know that there are sections within the Sri Lankan Armed forces operating with a hidden agenda to sabotage the CFA," he said.

Tamilselvan has alleged that Colombo, ridden with internal rifts and power struggles should look inwards for culprits of the assassination.

He lamented that there is a growing trend in the South to blame the Liberation Tigers for all killings.

Tamilselvan surreptitiously, tried his best, as usual to past the blame on a section of the Sri Lankan armed forces and on those forces which opposed the Ceasefire Agreement with the Tamil rebels.

Unfortunately, his arguments failed to convince the international community as a high ranking diplomat from one European country, who wishes to remain anonymous told the Asian Tribune.
