[b]LTTE agreed to participate in the second round of talks: Norwegian Peace Envoys to visit Sri Lanka to finalise details.[/b]

Oslo, 30 March, (Asiantribune.com): Erik Solheim, Norway’s Minister for International Development met with Anton Balasingham in London yesterday and it has been agreed that LTTE delegation will participate in the second round of talks to be held in Geneva during 19 – 22 April.

It is reliably learnt that, at the talks, Anton Balasingham has agreed for the participation in the second round of talks.

According to reports, Norwegian facilitators are expected to visit Sri Lanka to finalize details with the Sri Lanka Government side regarding the second round of Talks.

A Norwegian Foreign Ministry press release said that Erik Solheim Norway’s Minister for International Development and his special Envoy for Sri Lanka peace process Jon Hanssen-Bauer are expected to visit Sri Lanka.

Special Envoy Jon Hanssen-Bauer will arrive in Sri Lanka on Monday 3 April for a four day visit. This will be his first visit to Sri Lanka.
