LTTE blames everyone except itself

LTTE blames everyone except itself

By Munza Mushtaq – Reporting from Colombo

Colombo, 15 December, (; LTTE political wing leader S.P. Tamilselvan is reported to have blamed the recent incidents of violence and killings on the Sri Lanka Army, alleging that it was the army which encouraged the armed groups and their activities in the North and East and now these groups are going berserk creating unrest in these areas, thereby creating a very grave situation which could even lead to the collapsing of the Ceasefire Agreement.

He had also said that the international community would be doing a great service to the peace process and the integrity of the CFA by bringing pressure on the government to effectively implement the CFA rather than searching for options when a mutually agreed upon agreement is already on board.

He claimed that the living conditions of the Tamil people who live in Government controlled areas were deteriorating day by day, and stressed that it was time for the Government of Sri Lanka to 'effectively' fulfill its obligations to bring normalcy to the masses affected by war.
