LTTE intensifying attack on EPDP and Douglas Devananda

Colombo, 08 October, (Asiantribune.com): Since of late, it is observed that the Tamil rebel outfit - Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam has intensified its killing spree against the Tamil rival groups, especially against Eelam Peoples Democratic Party (EPDP). Furthermore the rebel outfit is seriously concentrating in targeting EPDP leader Douglas Devananda, who is elected as by the Tamils of the Jaffna peninsula as their Member of Parliament.

European Unions’ declaration announcing the travel ban against the LTTE on 26 September has in no way has deterred the rebel outfit and it continues to date with the agenda of killing people.

As EPDP and Douglas Devananda stand in the way of the LTTE and challenges their claim as the sole representatives of the Tamils in the North and East of Sri Lanka and as the Tamil rebel group failed to subdue them they have decided to decimate them.

Given below the details of those who have been killed and subjected to threat and intimidation by the LTTE after 26 September to date:
