Copenhagen, 15 March, (Asiantribune.com) : An elected Councilor of the Herning City Council in Denmark, Arulanantharajah Thillainadarajah has been dismissed from the Social Democratic Party. This was done because he supports the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, an internationally banned organization. In Denmark however LTTE is not an officially banned organization.

44 years old Arulanantharajah, a naturalized Sri Lankan Tamil, originally from Valvetiturai was serving his second term as City Councilor. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Denmark.

It all started recently when he participated in an annual festival of the Malathi Tamil School held at the city of Aarhus.

Malathi Tamil School is one of the LTTE controlled organizations in Denmark to teach Tamil as a subject during the weekends.

It was alleged that in the annual school festival, Arulanantharajah who presided over the school function has declared his support for the Tamil separatist organization. This declaration raised concern about his loyalty to his membership of the Social Democratic Party of Denmark.
