Islamabad, 17 January, (Asiantribune.com): Condemning the US airstrike in Bajaur agency, President of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal MMA and Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Qazi Hussain Ahmed has said that the government of General Pervez Musharraf has failed to provide security to the citizens of the country against foreign aggression and demanded him to tender his resignation for the failure. Eighteen people including women and children were killed in the incident.

"Actually, Pakistan government expressed its ignorance of the incident in the beginning. It described it as a mysterious event. However, a US spy plane was continuously hovering in the area before the incident. People in Bajaur and other close areas were expressing concerns in this respect," he told reporters here.

On the day of incident, a plane came from Afghanistan and illuminated the area in a specific circle. Later five jet planes came and targeted the innocent people by firing missiles, he added.
