<b>Installation of new Archbishop today</b>

Rt. Rev. Oswald Gomis will be installed as the new Archbishop of Colombo at a religious ceremony held today (27) at 9.00 a.m. at St. Lucia’s Cathedral, Kotahena.

Bishop’s House has extended an open invitation to all to participate in this religious ceremony.

Meanwhile present Archbishop of Colombo Rt. Rev. Nicholas Marcus Fernando will retire from his office today at a farewell ceremony to be held at Archbishop’s House, Colombo.

The installation of the Rt. Rev. Oswald Gomis as Archbishop has been approved by Pope John Paul II. This religious ceremony will be graced by several Catholic priests from abroad.
