Don Bosco Sri Lanka loses a great priest
Rev.Fr. Nicholas Cl Lukxman Neththasinghe, (54), Vice Superior, Don Bosco Salasian Vice Province of Sri Lanka succumbed to his injuries on 30th December caused by a fatal car accident at Seeduwa and his funeral takes place today (2nd January) at 4.00 pm at Dankotuwa Don Bosco Grounds.
Fr Neththasinghe was ordained a priest of Don Bosco Salasians Order in 1990 and within the period of 19 years as a priest in that Order, had also served as Administrator, Don Bosco Seminary, Kandy and Director Don Bosco, Uswetakeiyawa and Arabegama among other responsibilities.
A native of Pamunugama Fr Neththasinghe has gain his scholastic, religious and spiritual prowess in India after completing his basic studies at St Joseph’s School and Gonzalvew College, Pamunugama, St Aloysius Minor Seminary, Borella and Don Bosco Apostolic School, Kandy.
A priest dedicated to Don Bosco way of service, Fr Neththasinghe’s demise would create a vacuum in the Sri Lankan Don Bosco Salasian Order.
