Texas Sri Lankans want President Mahinda Rajapaksa to Dismantle Global LTTE Network

Houston, Texas 06 January (Asiantribune.com):

A group of Sri Lankans living in the State of Texas announced that they are with the people of Sri Lanka to support President Mahinda Rajapaksa for the re-election as the President of Sri Lanka.

They reiterated that President Rajapaksa showed his exemplarily leadership by defeating the terrorism in Sri Lanka without bowing down to the tremendous pressure from various local and international forces.

The Texans in the U.S.believe that the second term of President Rajapaksa will empower him to dismantle the international LTTE network and expose their agents to the world. President Rajapaksa will be the true leader for all the communities in Sri Lanka who has a clear vision to develop the country for the benefit of the people in Sri Lanka with a Sri Lankan passion. They urge all Sri Lankans who hold a true love to their mother land to vote for President Rajapaksa for his second term.

A gathering has been organized to enlighten about the socio-economic development taking place in Sri Lanka while the Rajapaksa administration was waging its military offensive against the LTTE terror outfit.

This event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, January 9, 2010 in Houston, Texas.

The theme of the event is “Sri Lanka After the War”. It will have discussions, presentations, and videos from Sri Lanka followed by a delicious South Asian dinner. This event is also a celebration to show the gratitude to President Rajapaksa who shows the courage to overcome the local and international pressure.

President Rajapaksa has already commenced the vast re-construction effort at the war affected areas in Sri Lanka.

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Washington DC reports that as of December 8, the number of IDPs living in government camps has reduced to 94,000 and the government has already resettled more than 190,000 displaced persons. Sri Lankans in Texas, USA, believe that President Rajapaksa will be the great leader that Sri Lanka needs today to recover the country from post war era, and drive Sri Lanka to prosperity providing opportunities for all the communities in Sri Lanka.

Every Sri Lankan who loves truly his motehrland should come forward to support Mahinda Rajapasha to win in the forthcoming election so that we Sri Lankans may be able to dismantle not only the LTTE global network but also thier all anti-SriLankan terrorist activities totally.
