Speedy measures to redress grievances concerning Tamil Language issues – Minister Milinda Moragoda

Minister of Justice and Law Reform Milinda Moragoda has appointed a senior officer to redress grievances concerning Tamil Language issues in various agencies coming under the purview of his ministry.

Senior Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Justice and Law Reform, Padmasisri Jayamanne will in future deal with situations arising from Tamil Language issues in order to find speedy solutions for the problems faced by the citizens

Minister Moragoda in appointing Mr.Jayamanne said that certain specific instances have come to his notice which calls for immediate remedial action.

“Very often the reasons given are the unavailability or paucity officers who could function in the Tamil language as well as inadequate technical backing” the Minister added
