New findings on the authenticity of the BBC CH4 Video on execution of civilians by soldiers

Vajiragnana Warnakulasuriya - Melbourne, Australia.
Melbourne, 09 January, (Asiantribune.com):

The findings of the latest analysis of this video by so called independent experts Philip Alston at the outset he mentioned to the media that the experts were unable to resolve several issues based on the absence of the Video for a conclusion to be reached definitively. What the hell did they analyze?

At the latter stage he was questioned whether there was any one to authenticate that the men in uniforms are really the Sri Lankan soldiers or Tamils dressed as soldiers.

Answering this important query, he (P.Alston) said, SL Government has said that soldiers never wear “White” T shirts nor they have “long hair” but he rejected these claims saying that they are not “compelling evidences”. It’s strange for him to discard crucial evidence like that, then why bother having the expert findings, just pass his judgment.

On the issue of Video, they found the date of recording by the Philip Mobile was 17th July 09, much after the conclusion of war, strange to notice he is prepared to ignore yet again a crucial piece of evidence even though the presenters of this Video (Independent Journalist Group) says these killings happened during the final phase of war, he is prepared to accept this happened after the conclusion of the war.

He goes further to support his version of the date, saying that the soldier has the feature in this mobile to set the date so that his presence on that particular day cannot be re-tracked! He defends the action of the soldier!

This soldier has not shown that this was shot in a hurry not to be detected by the shooters; on the victims and takes good time to show everything clearly with no panic on his part, strangely a person who wants to expose this cruelty to the World never bothered to include the faces (another crucial evidence) of the perpetrators to complete his ultimate service to the humanity. Did he leave that duty to Philip Alston to do? Perhaps this was a (I) NGO who botched the whole affair!

What right has Philip got to disregard stark facts? His task is to judge the authenticity on available facts not his two cents worth; it is the professionalism of the forces and the decency of the country at stake, who gives a stuff to his opinion?

Next important issue to be taken is the complexion of the victims, the Tamils in Sri Lanka generally have darker complexion than the Sinhalese. In the Video victims have a fair skin that indicates the possibility that the victims are Sinhalese soldiers who were captured time ago, so the possibility is victims are Sinhalese who were shot and videotaped to show to the sadistic LTTE leader for his enjoyment.

The statement that the Tamils have a darker complexion can easily proved to that of the Sinhalese soldiers, if you take any number of Tamils especially in the war tone area and that amount of soldiers from the Army.

You would only see slightly fairer skinned Tamils perhaps in affluent families who live in comfort than the rest and also those who lived abroad for a while.

It doesn’t make sense for anyone to deny that the Video is a fake, it’s like movie, and if one is so primitive one will definitely believe what is shown on the movie as the truth! They are so ignorant to fathom out either the people in that are actors or not!

The important issue for the experts is to prove that the Clip is a genuine production via a Mobile phone. Because if it’s not so, how come a Video camera be at this scene? Then victims become SL Army or Actors!

If you cannot definitely prove the victims are Tamils and soldiers are Sri Lankan Army, then there’s no case to answer!

I am confident Sri Lankan authorities who will respond to this latest findings and P. Alston’s response to the Media representatives at the press interview will take note of these observations too.

Alston the UN liar is back

Alston the UN liar is back with his Channel 4/JDS video claiming it is authentic. But a like the cheap prostitute he is, he is cold bloodily lying in his latest "work" claiming the Channel 4/JDS video is authentic (http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2010-01/08/content_12773261.htm). A technical analysis was conducted by Siri Heriwthana which proved the video was filmed not with a mobile (as claimed by Channel 4 and JDS) but with a proper video camera and the sound was not in sync which means it was dubbed in, which explains away the flaws in the video.

And the video was shown in Sri Lanka.

But this liar Alston pretends that the above did not happen (yet in his "rebuttal" he has got his "experts" to counter these aspects of the technical analysis used in the Government response while ignoring that significant and primary part of the Government response when trying to ridicule the Government response to further contribute to the impression the video is real).

As to who filmed the video, and how they got it, why do they not ask JDS who provided the video? Because then truth will come out.

And what took so long for this report?
This is all being timed with Gonseka and the election.
Furthermore it is part of their desperate bid to set up a base of operations to interfere in Sri Lanka and fully “internationalise” the country.

Its so obvious that the whole goal behind this bogus video is that.

What is so funny about

What is so funny about Alstons response:

When it first came out he blathered "its real!, its real!" barely minutes after Channel 4 aired it.

When Sri Lanka provided its technical evaluation over the video first he was stunned, then he still said "its real!, its real! I’m sure!" with the added gem: "your investigation into the video was not independent because it was done by Sri Lankans!"

Government response was "disprove the technical evaluation (you fraud)".

Alston was silenced and disappeared, then coinciding with Sri Lanka’s election he suddenly reappears with his "experts" months later to do exactly that. All they say is that the discrepancies in the video which prove it to be a forgery are "within acceptable parameters", "realistic movements" and that "none of it shows there to be manipulation" even though there is.

That is all they do. They take point by point Siri Hewa’s rebuttal (which Alston previously behaved as if was non-existent) and say "its real! its real!".

Whats the best part is this:

"He added that there are a small number of characteristics of the video which the experts were unable to explain, including the movement of certain victims in the video, 17 frames at the end of the video, and the date of 17 July 2009 encoded in the video (the conflict was officially declared over in May 2009)."

Well why can they not explain that? Which Siri Hewa's technical analysis did, because the footage has been edited heavily, dubbed to add the Sinhala (piss poor Sinhala at that) and then the wind sound along with the manner in which the video was converted from video camera format into mobile phone format.

Most of the other allegations are like this, baseless and fraudulent, but repeated plenty of times it becomes a "free flow" and then "fact". UN, HRW, AI and Western countries which have screamed non-stop about "war crimes/human rights" to justify intervention and halting the war (out of a desire to perpetuate conflict than prevent it) have struggled to give a shred of proof for any of their allegations. And still fail miserably.

Best of all is that JDS, the group who provided this video, who's founder is a well known NGO fraudster, thief and LTTE sympathiser (in it for the money) who is extremely unethical in his own conduct in his original job as a "media rights activist" (also did that for money) has not given Alston the original video, nor has Alston asked for it. They could easily identify the source for Alston, or the source can tell where he got it from and keep going from there until they get to who the men are, or narrow it down. Then Alston can pass the information onto Sri Lanka. But the fact is they are not interested in that. You cannot tell who the shooters are in the video, you cannot tell who the people being shot are, you cannot tell where the video was filmed, and those championing "war crimes" against Sri Lanka are not bothered either. The whole point in this video is to attack Sri Lanka.
