Gotabhaya Rajapakse in good health condition

Gotabhaya Rajapakse, Secretary of Defence is in good health condition and he is attending office daily.

Asian Tribune contacted the Ministry of Defence to find out about the helath condition of the Defence secretary as there was a reports which said that Gotabhaya had suffered a heart attack while participating at a conference in Rattota in Kandy district on Jan12.

The report further said that after emergency treatment at Kandy teaching hospital, Gotabhaya had been airlifted to Colombo & admitted to Durdans hospital. Thereafter Gotabhaya has gone to Singapore for advanced medical attention say the report.

When Asian Tribune contacted the Ministry of Defence, a Defence Spokesman said that the Defence Secretary is in good health condition and daily attending office.

He also said that Gotabhaya had a problem of stone in the bladder and he was in Singapore last week for a laser treatment and has returned after the treatment.
