Fonseka screaming in pain of defeat - Maithripala Sirisena

SLFP General Secretary and Minister,Maithripala Sirisena today claimed that opposition candidate Sarath Fonseka was screaming in pain, in the face of a humiliating defeat on January 26.

Addressing the media at the Colombo Mahaweli Centre,Minister Sirisena noted that Fonseka was contesting the President at a time the latter had put the nation back on track with massive development and a stable economy.

He said today there was no war fear and the people were free to move and they have valued the newly gained freedom established by the President.

The minister claimed that Ranil Wickremasinghe put foward Fonseka to save face and so was the JVP."They have made Fonseka the bait and Fonseka now knows he will be defeated", the minister asserted.
