Wimal reveals another plan by the Opposition to Spread Violence

National Freedom Front (NFF) leader Wimal Weerawansha at a press briefing on Tuesday revealed that Opposition’s common candidate General Sarath Fonseka and his team was getting ready for several disastrous missions within next two to three days, as they have clearly realized of their defeat at the Presidential election on January 26.
Parliamentarian Weerawansha said that they were planning a bomb explosion or a major criminal scene in their own meetings and raise the finger at the government later. "We have received information that they were to go for violence incidents. We warn the general public to be vigilant and not to be misled by their tactics which they bring to receive your sympathy", he said.
General Fonseka’s Co-media spokesman JVP MP Anura Dissanayake had himself said in a public rally, that United Peoples Freedom Alliance’s candidate Mahinda Rajapaksha’s victory is crystal clear. Now, their effort is to unleash violence in severa of l their meetings and put the government in trouble’, MP Weerawansha added.
Weerawansha who spoke about the TNA’s alleged agreement with General Sarath Fonseka said that MP Sampanthan is using Fonseka to take revenge on the President for crushing the LTTE terror outfit.
“He (Sampanthan) was creating an avenue through Sarath Fonseka to take the President before an international war tribunal. One of his conditions which General Fonseka allegedly agreed was giving legal status to some international treaties which Sri Lanka has signed", the NFF leader pointed out.
Weerawansha further said that the TNA MP who refused any interview or has yet to contradict the points that were raised and highlighted by us were not in the agreement he entered with Sarath Fonseka.
He also challenged the TNA leader to come out in open and deny that he (Sampanthan) was against the North East merger, demand for a traditional homeland, and the removal of high security zones and releasing of the LTTE prisoners.

Wimal Weerasansa is presenting the facts. This is the western style democracy. They do not care about people. What they need is to appoint their stooges every where by resorting to underhand methods. Iran was a good example. The US wanted to topple the Iranian government which is patriotic without bending to imperial interests. Israel’s interests were looked after by US power. When Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won the election by over 60% to the dislike of US, they promoted the opposition candidate who got 30% as the winner. CIA distributed pre-paid cell phones among the opposition supporters to discredit the government. The monies were poured to the opposition to create anarchy by demonstrations geared for western audiences. The country was derailed for several years, countries unity was destroyed.
What happened in Iran could happen in Sri Lanka. Even MR wins, the media will go to town creating a doubt of this. The monies poured by the Western countries particularly Norway will be able to disturb the nation. We hear about the people travelling in public transit talking ill of MR for a fee. Then most of the three wheel drivers who are fed by this money to disgrace the government. Let us see how much this money culture can do in the Sri Lankan electorate.
