Prabhakaran’s mother and mother-in-law is well taken care of
There was no need to obtain permission from anyone for Sinnammah Erambu, the mother of Mathivathani, the wife of the LTTE leader Prabhakaran to leave the country said M.K.Shivajilingham, the TNA Parliamentarian and the Independent Presidential candidate.
Sinnamma Erambu was taken by him on 16th night and handed over to her relatives at the Male international Airport, Maldives Islands, Shivajilingham told Asian Tribune.
Shivajilingham, speaking to Asian Tribune, said that Mrs. Erambu Sinnammah was taken out of the welfare centre on 1st of December and she was living with her relatives in Batticaloa.
He said at Batticaloa the relative who was looking after the old-aged Sinnammah (83 years) was threatened by the armed groups, and therefore I was forced to bring her to Colombo and kept her with me.
He said as her passport has already expired, he renewed it and on 16th evening around 8.30 pm he took her to Male and handed her to her waiting relatives in Male.
He further said at present she is in Singapore and her relatives are making arrangement to take her to Europe.
In the meantime, when inquired about Prabhakaran mother Parvathy Velupillai, he said that she is at present living at the DMO’s quarters in the Oorany hospital, Valvetiturai, in the care of Dr. Mail Eru Perumals.
Shivajilingham said as there was no birth certificates, marriage certificates and also the National Identity Card for her, he is making arrangements to obtain duplicate copies from the respective government office, and once they are obtained, he will apply for her passport and arranged her to be sent either to Canada or to Europe where her relatives lives.
