Sarath Fonseka was furious. He pulled him by his shirt collor and slapped him.

This all happened on 21st at the political headquarters of the Retired General Sarath Fonseka, located opposite to the Royal College.

At a media conference held on that day, the joint media coordinator to the presidential candidate Gen. Fonseka, JVP MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake while addressing the media personnel at the General‘s media office said unwittingly or wittingly ,”…the President Rajapaksa might have by now won the election, but we will continue with our fight to defeat him….”

Immediately he was asked to come inside a room by General Sarath Fonseka, according to some journalists who attended the press briefing.

One of them said inside the room the furious former army commander caught the JVP parliamentarian by the color of his shirt and shouted … Umba Mann Kawa … You have destroyed me.

A journalist told he also heard the slapping noise.

After that atrocious incident, those who saw Anura Kumara Dissanayake in the Srisa TV said that they have seen him with swollen cheek.

Is it true ?

Over to you ….General ….
