"Amma" reached Delhi to meet 'Maa'

"Amma " Ms J Jayalalithaa, as called by All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam's (AIADMK) crores of members, reached New Delhi this after noon at 14.15 by a charted flight from Chennai, to meet Ms Sonia Gandhi, who is worshiped by Congress cader's caders as "Maa".

"I cannot answer for speculative questions", Amma told the Correspondent who waited in front of the Chennai Airport's Old Terminal, to board in to a Charted Flight.

Ms Jayalalitha said she is going to Delhi to attend the Diamond Jubilee celebration of the Election Commission of India(ECI).

"The Chief of the ECI, Mr Naveen Chawla, invited me in person, so I am attentending this auspicious function". Amma said.

In Delhi, ECI Officials, AIADMK members of Parliament, lead by its Parliament Party Leader Mr Mythireyan and the Delhi based AIADMK members in large number welcomed her in the Air Port.

India's most dynamic political female leaders Ms Sonia Gandhi and Ms J Jayalalithaa likely to meet one to one after a long gap of 12 years on January 25, at Delhi in colorful function.

It will be a rare photo op to see political adversaries the Congress President Sonia and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam(AIADMK) supremo and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Ms J Jayalalithaa in a function.

But it remains to be seen if the two will exchange pleasantries when they meet for the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of the Election Commission of India(ECI) on Monday.

The last time the two came together was in 1999 when AIADMK voted against the Vajpayee lead NDA government at center, agreed to support Congress to stake claim to the government.

Some fishy things went on in a tea meeting hosted by Sonia, Jayalalithaa backtracked along with the Samajwadi Party headed by Mulayam Singh.

But at the time of Parliament Election in the same year, Jayalalithaa struck a alliance with Sonia and allotted 7 seats to congress in the state of Tamil Nadu.

There was a proposal to hold a joint election meeting at Vizhuppuram, in which Sonia and Jaya proposed to address together. Sonia arrived to the venue on that day but Jaya skipped it.

Since that day, Jaya started to attack Sonia, and she went to extend that Sonia is a foreigner cannot hold the post Prime minister. Even Jaya mentioned Sonia's Original Name "Anitna Maino" and accused her that she(Sonia) was not having faith with her late husband Rajiv Gandhi and she was not lead life as devoted wife with him. This comment came on the Back drop of the Congress struck with an alliance with DMK, MDMK, PMK at the time of 2004 Parliament Elections. Jaya described these parties are LTTE supporters, which killed Rajiv.

Subsequently in the 2006 Assembly polls also Jaya attacked Sonia like anything.

But last Parliament Elections, Jaya did not mention even Sonia's name.Even she skipped to speak about Congress.

Political observers say that Jaya- Sonia meet will create some change in the political arena in Tamil Nadu.
