Sri Lanka Presidential Election – 2010: Nuwera Eliay and Anuradhapura Didtricts Postal Votes also to Mahinda
Colombo, 27 January, (Asiantribune.com):
The postal votes counted in the Nuwera –Eliay and Anuradhapura Districts shows that President Mahinda Rajapaksa obtained 6,098 and 25,760 votes which were 66.18 and 70.98 percentages of the votes polled.
Sarath Fonseka polled 3067 and 10, 228 votes respectively which were 33.29 and 28.18 percentages of votes polled.
Total votes polled in Nuwera Eliya was 9,244 and 89 votes rejected while in Anuradhapura total votes polled was 36,293 and 632 votes were rejected.
