Former JVP propaganda secretary Parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansha who left the party and formed a new party called National Freedom Party (JNP) told the media that JVP had left nothing positive for their political future.
“This election was the end of the JVP. They were taught again that wrong political decisions could destroy everything built in the years and years, in one day. Real JVPears never have expected to see its leaders on a stage where politicians like Rauff Hakeem and R.Sampanthan who stood for the separatism”, JNP Leader Weerawansha added.
Weerawansha further added that present JVP leaders are left with only one alternative, if they wish to have a political journey in future. He asked them to the go to the Borella Cemetery and kneel down for forgiveness.
