The former Army Commander and later Chief of Defence Staff, General (Retired) Sarath Fonseka has been arrested around 10 PM on Monday at his office.
Already Asian Tribune has reported that Sarath Fonseka might be arrested and court martialed for charges of conduct unbecoming of an officer and a gentleman while he was in service.
Sri Lanka Army’s Military Police arrested Sarath Fonsek on Monday evening.
Army sources told that after committing felony whilst in service as Army commander as well as Chief of Defence Staff, he was trying to bully his way to escape arrest and questioning.
Army sources told Asian Tribune that he was arrested for involvement in political activities whilst in active military service.
