Namal Takes Blessing from Tangalle People to Enter Politics
Politics is not the thuggary or vengeance and the era which the politic s defined with awful and dreadful words has been finished with the Presidential elections which were concluded on January 26, said by President Mahinda Rajapaksa addressing a rally in Thangalle this morning (February 11).
The rally had been organized to kick start the President’s elder son Namal Rajapaksha’s political life which thousands of people flocked to bless him.
President reminded that the same loyal people who blessed him in 1970 to enter the politics as the youngest MP in the House had come forward to bless his son’s political career too.
”Each and every citizen has a right to engage in politics. But, No one is allowed to pave the way for terrorism to ruin the country and to disturb the peace and order of the country’, Presidet Rrajapaksha told the gathering at the Tangalle Town Hall stressing that the Sri Lanka is a country nourished from the Buddhism and truth always wins.
Namal Rajapaksa who addressed the gathering said that he will be fully dedicated to serve the country and improving the lifestyle of the ‘youth’s generation’ without any barriers of caste, creed or any other minor issues.
Ministers Chamal Rajapaksha, Mahinda Amaraweera, Johnston Fernando and several intellectuals and religious dignitaries were present at the occasion.
