Death threat to Malayalam Actor: Thilakan lodged complaint

Chennai, 14 February, (Asiantribune.com):

Veteran Malayalam actor and famous in Tamil Cinema for his villain performance, Thilakan has lodged a complaint with police, claiming he received death threat for his recent outbursts against Malayalam superstars.

In a complaint filed with the Alappuzha police , Thilakan said he received a call from a Gulf country stating that a gang had been engaged to "finish him off" within a week if he did not stop his utterances against superstars.

Thilakan further said the call came when he was having dinner at a hotel in Alappuzha around 10 pm, on Friday. Police said the actor came to the station and filed the complaint.

Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) has given a show-cause notice to Thilakan for his comments against superstars and warned of disciplinary action if his reply was not satisfactory.
