3-member TNA coterie who danced to Delhi tune, at the receiving end now

By K T Rajasingham
Colombo, 17 February (Asiantribune.com):

N_Sri_Kantha_1.jpgAt least twelve former Members of Parliament of the Tamil National Alliance are not likely to be given nominations in the forthcoming parliamentary elections. This is according to news emanating from the Tamil press.

One of the leading rebels who went to the extent of defying the TNA’s decision to support Retired General Sarath Fonseka at the recently held presidential election, N.Srikantha, a former leader of the TELO angrily and defiantly responded to the emerging development by stating, “Let them do that. We will then give a fitting response.”

Elaborating further Srikantha said, that the coterie that is running riot in the TNA is working according to a plan drawn by the external forces that have infiltrated into the TNA in the recent months.

He added that “This plan has the blessings of the Indian establishment.

“The Sonia Congress Government wants to ensure that the TNA remains a subservient political force, representing the Sri Lankan Tamils.

He pointed that during the Eelam war the coterie consisting of 3 MPs functioned as per direction by its Delhi Masters.

The former TNA Parliamentarian further said, “we have incontrovertible evidence to establish that the so called TNA leadership consisting of these three gentlemen had taken the entire TNA parliamentary group for a ride in the guise of demanding a cease-fire. But in fact they collaborated with their Indian Masters in the Delhi government achieving its objective of defeating the LTTE and destroying the LTTE leadership.”

He said, contrary to its pretension, this coterie was never interested in a cease-fire. In fact they shunned number of opportunities offered by Indian Opposition leaders with the view to pressurise the Delhi to ensure that a cease-fire is put in place.

“In fact , it was treachery of the worse kind, we will expose their traitorous act at the next parliamentary general elections and we are ready for it,” Srikantha added.
