Two killed while making bomb in Peshawar

Peshawar, 20 February, (Asiantribune.com):

Two people were killed while making bombs in Peshawar the capital of North West Frontier Province of Pakistan on Friday.

Two were injured also including an MBBS student of Khyber Medical College, while allegedly handling or making a bomb in City area of Peshawar.

Police have arrested the injured students who it says belonged to the restive Bajaur Agency where the military operation is continuing against the militants.

One of the killed persons is from Bajaur while the other is yet to be identified according to the police but it fears all of the young men belonged to the Bajaur Agency.

The bomb disposal squad says the explosion occurred when these suspects were handling it getting training for bomb making.

The police first said it was cylinder blast, but later the bomb disposal squad confirms that at least one kilogram of explosive has caused the explosion.

Gurr Mandi is located in the busy Hashtnagri area of Peshawar and the carrying out of such activities by the people belonging to Bajaur Agency is worrisome for the authorities.

The police say the identity card recovered from one of the injured boy present in the go down showed he was a student of MBBS at the Khyber Medical College while the other is also a student of a local college.

Police have shifted the suspects for interrogation and also seized a battery, wires and explosives from the go down.
