Construction of New Assembly Complex: Sonia praises Karunanidhi

Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Sunday congratulated the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi for building a new magnificent Assembly complex within a span of few months in a historic manner.

According to the state official release, in her message to the souvenir that will be published by the State Assembly department on the inauguration of the newly constructed Assembly complex, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi said that she was delighted about the project.

''I am delighted to know that the new Legislative Assembly building is ready and that too absolutely on schedule. The close interest and supervision you have given to this project at every stage is evident in a magnificent final result.' It is a great pleasure that I enlist the message for the souvenir", Mrs Gandhi said.

M K Stalin Deputy Chief Minister and son of K Karunanidhi had visited New Delhi two days ago and personally invited Ms Gandhi to the inaugural function.

Ms Gandhi along with the Prime Minister is likely to take part in the inaugural ceremony of the Assembly complex on March 13.
