Case Registered against Swamy Nithyanantha: Police Commissioner
The Chennai City Police has registered a case against Swami Nithyanantha, who was involved in a sex scandal along with the film actress Ranjitha.
"The case was registered on a complaint preferred by a group of Madras High Court Advocates”, City Police Commissioner Mr Rajendran told the media on Thursday.
Rajendran said that the police taken cognizance of offence on Nithyanantha and booked him for abusing Tamil Culture. "It is true that Swamy Nithyanantha absconding after the TV Channels telecasted the video clipping of his sexual scenes", Rajendran said.
Meanwhile Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi strongly condemned the activities of Swami Nithyanantha and said that a person who is projecting himself as a sadhu/ swamy should not be subjected to such acquisition.
Chief Minister Karunanidhi also expressed his concern over the continuous telecast of the obscene video clippings by the TV Channels, (Sun TV is his family oriented channel run by his grandson Kalanidhi Maran and his brother Union Minister Dyanidhi Maran) and called upon to stop the telecast.
