Safe Deposit Locker for Pilgrims at Tirumala

For the safety and benifit of the pilgrims coming to worship Lord Venkadeswara, Tirumala-Tirupathi Devasthanam has introduced locker facility in the shirine hill Tirumala.

Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan's wife Vimala Narasimhan on Friday unveiled safe deposit locker facility for pilgrims at Sri Padmavathi Guest House allotment counter in Tirumala hills.

The lockers would be maintained by the Andhra Bank and a nominal amount of Rs 50 charged as daily rent from them, Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams executive officer I Y R Krishna Rao said on the occasion.

A refundable caution deposit of Rs 1,000 would also be collected from them, he added.

He said it was the first time that the Andhra Bank has set up such locker facility in Tirumala hills for the benefit of the pilgrims.

The Governor, temple special officer A V Dharma Reddy, Andhra Bank zonal manager B V S N Murthy were also present on the occasion.
