Shootout at ISRO centre off Bangalore
There were shootouts near the Deep Space Network (DSN) centre of India's space agency ISRO early Tuesday. Two men found lurking around the centre, located 40 kms from Bangalore, fired gunshots when questioned and escaped after the guards returned fire, according to officials.
'There is no injury or damage, ISRO director S. Satish said. It could not be confirmed whether it was a terror attack. A case has been registered with Byalalu police and they are investigating, official sources said.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has asked for the sequence of events in the incident which happened in the wee hours on Tuesday near the Indian Space Research Organisation centre housing projects relating to space research, including the tracking station for ISRO's satellite missions.

The Central Industrial Security Force is entrusted with the security of the facility.
ISRO sources said the security personnel challenged the two when they found them moving around in a suspicious manner.
The duo fired at them with a small pistol, after which the security guards retaliated. The incident occurred between 3.30 am and 4.00 am, on Tuesday they said.
