40,000 take part in Swami Ram Dev's Yoga Camp

Over 40,000 people across the country and neighboring Indian villages thronged to the Yoga Camp organized in presence of Swami Ram Dev at Nepal Army Pavilion in Kathmandu, Saturday.

The Yoga Camp inaugurated by President Dr Ram Baran Yadav saw the presence of ministers, leaders of various political parties, CA members, senior police officers, businessmen, journalists and general public.

Inaugurating the function, President Dr Yadav said there is a need to reach Yoga each and every people in the country as Yoga has been established as an important science to cure various ailments.

He also expressed confidence that the camp being organized in the presence of Swami Ram Dev will give special inspiration to Nepali people to live healthy.

Various local as well as foreign Television channels broadcast the function organized with the slogans ‘perform Yoga, stay fit’ and ‘Healthy Nepal, Healthy World’ live.

Swami Ram Dev, founder of the Patanjali Yoga Peeth in Haridwar, India,arrived in Kathmandu, Friday.

Besides Yoga Camp in the morning, experts from the Patanjali Yoga Peeth provide treatment to various diseases and distribute Ayurvedic medicines during the day. Accompanying Swami Ram Dev is Ayurvedacharya Swami Balkrishnaji Maharaj and other Yoga gurus.

Addressing the function, Yoga Guru Ramdev informed that the Yogpeeth had set a goal to prepare some 100,000 yoga teachers in Nepal.
