Wonder whether Wickremasinghe
Wonder whether Wickremasinghe raised this issue with the President when he met him with smiles and handshakes recently to discuss various other issues. This high profile elevation helped him to fend off the likes of Sajit Premada who was gunning for his downfall. While the plight of IDPs is a concern for all Sri Lankans, it is an internal matter that should be discussed within Sri Lanka. Headline grabbing news conferences in foreign lands is what people who have no real love for Sri Lanka engages in, and it is not worthy of a responsible Opposition Leader, who it appeared, had close contacts with the President and who could have raised it with him.
