Robot + Ayngaran + Rajnikanth + Tamils’ Blood Money =?
The so called Indian Tamil Leaders who vowed to safeguard the Tamil nationalism in Sri Lanka has failed to come to terms with Super Star Rajanikanth, who was paid in the beginning with money besmirched with the innocent Tamils’ blood, unfortunately they have failed to question propriety.
Asian Tribune learnt that Robot which was renamed as Enthiran and today its musical launch is to be held in Malaysia.
Initially Karunamoorthy of Ayngaran International and Eros launched the production of Robot.
Karunamoorthy of Ayngaran is a Sri Lankan born Tamil, presently holding British passport was earlier involved in screening South Indian Tamil films initially in Britain and gradually broke into the screening in almost all the European countries.
He later started producing Tamil films with production office in Chennai. Questions were raised about funds used for the production of Tamil films in Tamil Nadu.
At point of time, the leading integrated Tamil media & entertainment company Ayngaran International, which is an Eros International company, announces the production of Shankar‘s ‘Robot’, starring superstar Rajnikanth. After the grand success of ‘Shivaji’, Tamil film industry’s most popular star, Rajnikanth, talented director, Shankar , and music maestro, A. R. Rahman, came together once again in the much anticipated ‘Robot’.
Expected to be the grandest film ever to be made in Indian cinema, ‘Robot’, was to be produced in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and other languages.
In the beginning -
Director, Shankar, commented: “It’s very exciting to be working again with talents like Rajnikanth and A.R. Rahman. Combined with production & distribution muscle of Ayngaran – Eros International, ‘Robot’ has the potential of becoming this year’s biggest film.”
Rajnikanth commented: “I am immensely happy to be working with Ayngaran – Eros International for ‘Robot’. This film by Shankar is one of its kinds to be made on Indian screen. No one has done it before.”
K KarunaMoorthy, CEO of Ayngaran, commented: “After the grand success of ‘Shivaji’ and ‘Billa’ we are all geared up for ‘Robot’ now. Aligning with Eros International’s consolidation strategy, we are leveraging our position to integrate the Tamil film industry by producing & releasing films on the global platform. It’s a pleasure working again with the magical team of Rajnikanth, Shankar and A.R. Rahman. We are positive that ‘Robot’ will break all box office records. “
Robot was launched under the banner of Ayngaran – Eros in Peru’s Machu Pichu. Later the director completed the next three schedules in Goa, Chennai, Kulu Manali and some locations in Anaimalais.
But due to the financial crisis Eros had withdrawn from the project and later Ayngaran also wants to follow the same.
Sources revealed that producers of the film, Ayngaran International and Eros wanted to hand over this Rs.15 crore project to some big group.
According to the sources, Rajinikanth, the hero of the movie met Sun TV’s Kalanidhi Maaran at his office with director Shankar and cameraman Ratnavelu.
Subsequently, Sun Pictures, the film production division of the media giant Sun Network purchased the entire rights of superstar Rajini’s Enthiran – The Robot.
Later, Ayngaran has transferred all the production costs of the movie to Sun Pictures.
