Final days in Vanni: 600 Tamils shot and killed as stray dogs- First Person Revelation

Comments

Tragically Omitted

The testimony of this MP who had such important statements to make that would expose and wipe out the propaganda spouted by the LTTE rump and their willing cohorts both in Sri Lanka and abroad has been tragically neglected.
He MUST be requested to present his testimony before the LLRC.
So many others too among the Tamil civilians who suffered under the LTTE must still be out there, but cowed into silence under the decades of acculturation to LTTE threat, and may now be gradually psychologically released under Peace to speak up. With time we will obviously learn more and more about the Truth of what went on under the LTTE's ruthless fascist hammer. The LTTE had always succeeded in deflecting blame to the GOSL when they were the real culprits, and the Rump continues to follow this pattern.
This dramatic episode of Mr. Kanagaratnam speaking up now, points to the importance of Sri Lanka continuing in the path of Peace rather than the inevitable polarization and more conflict down the road that the UNSG's Expert Panel is preparing the groundwork for, aided by the separatist LTTE rump in the Diaspora and interested parties in Sri Lanka itself, whose agenda has not changed one iota from that expressed over 30 years ago.

The mere fact that we came to

The mere fact that we came to this stage clearly shows the sheer incompetence of the folks who handles these things at the foreign ministry.

They are good at boasting - when drunk, of course - about their super skills in international diplomacy. Yes, if you go by the abbreviations at the end of their names, it may appear to be so.

Unfortunately, disaster after disastr in PR battle, shows that the reality is far from it.

Even our learned academic, Prof G L Peiris, let the country down at the crucial moment pretty badly. He showed that he has got neither the 'guts' nor the 'strategy' in confronting our international conspirators who are well-organized and well-informed.

Delivering a lecture to an understandably-timid audienc inside a lecture hall at Colombo University is not the same as tackling on a critical issue with an international audience. Prof Peries displayed that he is neither pragmatic nor clever enough to represent the country. In short, his approach has been pretty ameturistic which borders on naivity.

The combined impact of the fiasco is that Rajapakse family has been made the scapegoat in the eyes of international community to carry the can, which is unfair and sad.

It's high time, therefore, the incompetent officials were named and then shamed while holding them accountable for the blunder.

THE BEST TESTIMONY OF THE LAST DAYS OF LTTE WAR

This is by far the best testimony to show the world that Sri Lankan forces acted in a humane manner during the war against the LTTE Terrorists. Perhaps the LLRC should invite him to relate these incidents in front of the selected representatives of the International Media and the Diplomatic Community.
