The long arm of the Australian Greens, and their disregard for the Tamils in Sri Lanka
The war crimes case against Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajappaksa submitted to a Melbourne Magistrates Court court by Sri Lanka-born Sydney man Arunachalam Jegatheeswaran, reportedly an uncle of Brami Jegatheeswaran (Brami Jegan) who ran for a senate seat in NSW under the Greens ticket in 2010 has been refused a hearing by Federal Attorney-General of Australia, Robert McClelland.
In refusing to allow a war crimes case against the Sri Lankan President to proceed in Australia, a spokesman for Mr McClelland’s has said “the Attorney-General has refused to grant this consent as continuation of the proceedings would be in breach of domestic law and Australia’s obligations under international law. The Foreign States Immunity Act 1985 (Cth) extends immunities of heads of diplomatic missions applying under the Diplomatic Privileges and Immunities Act 1967 to Heads of States. Those immunities include personal inviolability including from any form of arrest or detention and immunity from the criminal jurisdiction of the receiving state.”
Sources have revealed that Mr Arunachalam Jegatheeswaran is the brother of Arunachalam Chrishanthakumar -- known as AC Shanthan -- was jailed for two years for aiding the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, the notorious Tamil Tigers militia outlawed in Britain as a terrorist organisation.
Shanthan, the founder of the British Tamil Association was found to have acquired electrical componentry and military manuals for the LTTE.
Confirming that her uncle had been jailed, Greens candidate Brahmi Jegatheeswarsn said at the time that "Yes, it happened, but I don't believe I have anything to apologise for," pointing to a transcript of the judge's comments in which her uncle was called "a thoroughly decent man" who hadn't sought to "assist (the LTTE) in war". "The fact is my uncle was trying to help Tamils in Sri Lanka. But he wasn't a terrorist," she says.
Brahmi Jegatheeswaran and her family seems to attach little or no concern for the murderous activities of the LTTE, and the fact that they had been responsible for the worst form of human rights violations in recent history, and the death of more than 100,000 people as a consequence of the violence perpetrated by the LTTE.
Many Australians are of the view that what is worse is that the Australian Greens seem to be harbouring such vipers amongst them, and preaching human rights to others.
They contend that if the Australian Greens wishes to restore even a semblance of decency and respect for international law and customs, they should follow the path taken by the Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard and the Australian government that the world community must await Sri Lanka’s own independent commission to report on their findings.
The slimy underhand activities of the Australian Greens are not being appreciated by the Australians. One member of the Australian public said that the Greens would next support Al Quida if they can find a relative of a terrorist to stand for a seat in Australian Parliamentary elections.
Australians are appalled that Greens activities are a disgrace to all that is fair and just in Australia. They are equally concerned that some members of the Australian public, and media organizations like the ABC do not realise that the activities of sections of the Tamil Diaspora and their erstwhile supporters like the Australian Greens, is endangering the reconciliation efforts in Sri Lanka to bring about amity and unity amongst all communities in the country.
While there is every confidence that no one in Sri Lanka will condone any war crimes or human rights violations against anyone, they contend and understand that Sri Lankans will oppose to the last man and woman, any attempt to discredit their valiant armed forces personnel and the man who gave political leadership to defeat the inhuman LTTE, President Mahinda Rajapaksa, if such allegations are based on trumped up , unsubstantiated charges based on material submitted by the very sub humans who were responsible for the death of more than 100,000 people in Sri Lanka.

Good to see the Australian AG
Good to see the Australian AG acting on principle and the per international law. It will perhaps bring some sense into the vengeful LTTE Diaspora who seem intent on full throttle attack mode against Sri Lanka, and who expect the existing international laws to be set aside by the authorities and governments.
Hope this unrelenting onslaught and expectations of support from the West would be a eye-opener to their Governments of the modus-operandi of the LTTE Diaspora, and their supporters still remaining in Sri Lanka.
RajG has pointed out clearly in this and a previous article about the West having one day to deal with Tamil Diaspora's arrogant demands which will come one day to roost in the countries that have believed their stories and given them refuge.
