Cambridge University Don commends, Sri Lankan President's Ten Year Plan for Trilingual Sri Lanka

London, 27 January, (Asiantribune.com):

In a Letter to the Editor, Dr Michael Milanovic, Chief Executive, University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations writes that President Mahinda Rajapaksa's Ten Year National Plan for a Trilingual Sri Lanka (Asian Tribune, 22 January) is an encouraging initiative.

Dr Michael Milanovic further wrote, Inspiring different communities to learn each other's languages, along with the global language of English, will help to make Sri Lanka a truly multilingual nation which nurtures and supports its diverse linguistic and cultural heritage.

He went on to conclude, “This far sighted initiative will also equip citizens with the language skills they need for success in the global economy.
