Decorate Mahinda Rajapaksa with 'Bharat Ratna' and warn Karunanidhi of arrest – Dr. Subramanian Swamy
Decorate Mahinda Rajapaksa with ‘Bharat Ratna’ for his courage to eliminate the terrorist organization- the LTTE, and its murderous leader V.Prabhakaran, but in the meantime, warn DMK Leader Karunanidhi that he will be arrested under National Security Act for seeking to spoil India’s relations with a friendly neighbor - Sri Lanka.
Dr. Subramanian Swamy, the Janata Party Leader has alleged that the DMK Chief Mr.Karunanidhi has made a mischievous and anti-Indian statement urging Prime Minsiter Dr.Manmohan Singh to take steps in the United Nations to force the Government of Sri Lanka to hold a Referendum or Plebiscite in Sri Lanka, to decide whether Tamils of that country want self-determination and Tamil Eelam.
In a press release he further said, “In my opinion, the Prime Minister should instead warn Mr.Karunanidhi that he will be prosecuted for sedition and other offences under the IPC, and arrested under the National Security Act for seeking to spoil our relations with a friendly neighbor.”
The Janata Party, which is a constituent Party of the Opposition National Democratic Front led by BJP, is led by the undaunted Dr. Subramanian Swamy, who insisted that time has come now for the Prime Minister ‘to put decisive end to sinister Sri Lanka-baiting by the Dravidian Movement.’
He alleged that to the ‘sinister Sri Lanka-baiting by the Dravidian Movement,’ the ISI of Pakistan has now taken the place of the now defunct LTTE in financing such activities.
The former Law Minister of India has categorically stated that, to put an end, the Prime Minister must decorate President Rajapakshe with “Bharat Ratna” award for his courageous elimination of the terrorist organization the LTTE, and its murderous leader V.Prabhakaran.
'Bharat Ratna, is the highest civilian award of the country, and already two foreigners Nelson Mandela of South Africa and Frontier Gandhi - Khan Abdul Gafar Khan a Pakistani have received this award.
He added, that it is important that, “The Prime Minister should also keep persuading after sufficient goodwill is created, the Sri Lankan President, to ensure devolution of powers in it Constitution, for the linguist minority Tamils to carry on regional development in their areas and feel empowered.”
