Issuance of Commemorative Coin marking the Diamond Jubilee of Sri Lanka - Japan diplomatic relations

Colombo, 12 November, (Asiantribune.com):

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka today issued a silver commemorative coin of a face value of Rs.1,000 to mark the 60th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Government of Sri Lanka and the Government of Japan.Comomerative_Stamp.jpg

This is the 57th in the series of commemorative coins issued by the Central Bank.
The coin was officially handed over to President Mahinda Rajapaksa by the Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal today.

Minister of External Affairs Prof. G. L. Peiris, Secretary to the Ministry of External Affairs Karunathilake Amunugama, Japanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Nobuhito Hobo were also present at the occasion.
