Eradicate the 'tiny suicide bombers'!
A topic always being debated everywhere is ‘whether health or wealth’ which is more valuable to mankind. There is no doubt that the majority will, promptly, support health over wealth.
Good health is necessary to happiness and success, whereas bad health means misery and continual failures. How can one feel happy when his body is in a morbid state though he is living on a heap of gold?
One should not feel excessive greediness and enthusiasm for wealth but should maintain good health which is the most valuable thing in life.
However, in the present time there is another important factor to be added to the already considered paramount for mankind; peace and security. In this field we are grateful to our government for providing every citizen this luxury of safety and security by eliminating terrorism from our beautiful island.
In the meantime, we urge the authorities concerned to provide protection to the citizens from a minute creature but with a devastating armory, worse than that of the human suicide bombers, once brought misery to our beloved land, I mean the 'dengue mosquito'!
We experienced anxious moments by being informed that one of our siblings, back home, was admitted to the hospital with an attack of the dreaded dengue fever, in a Colombo private hospital.
However, we are very grateful to our close family members for their timely action in hospitalizing him and attending to all his needs in time.
This adds, as I see it, to the importance of being blessed with a family which is equally important in one's life, like the two other points always debated namely health and wealth.
The relief we got from the timely action by the members of the family is incomparable, especially, when we are helpless and thousands of miles away from the affected person, who needed help.
May god amply reward every one of them for this good deed? We urge the health authorities to double up their efforts to eradicate these 'tiny suicide bombers' and enable the citizens to live in peace!
