From R. Vasudevan—Reporting from New Delhi
New Delhi, 02 December (Asiantribune.com):

Sushma_Swaraj.pngWith opinion polls suggesting that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is heading for a third time win in the assembly election in December, slowly the BJP leaders are veering around to the view that the Gujarat strongman is definitely better placed in the race for next Prime Minister.

Other aspirants like L.K. Advani, Sushma Swaraj and even graft tainted party chief Nitin Gadkari are fading away. In fact, Advani, Gadkari and Sushma Swaraj are campaigning for Modi in Gujarat.

In fact, Sushma Swaraj has praised Chief Minister Narendra Modi as she said, “Modi is fit to be the next Prime Minister.” “Modi has done great work in Gujarat,” Sushma Swaraj added while campaigning for BJP candidates in Gujarat Assembly Elections on Narendra Modi’s invitation. Swaraj was accompanied by senior BJP leader LK Advani and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi.

Sushma Swaraj was addressing a rally in Vadodara, while Advani will campaign in Gujarat over the next two days. The Bihar Deputy CM will campaign for BJP candidates in Anjar and Gandhidham Assembly constituencies in Kutch district. Modi will take a tour of six places in Saurashtra and southern Gujarat.

The Assembly Elections in Gujarat would be held in two phases -- December 13 and 17. The results will be declared on December 20.
