Global Community Day 2012
The High Commission of Sri Lanka in Singapore participated at the ‘’Global Community day’’an annual event organised by Temasek Polytechnic of Singapore on the 23rd of November 2012.
The Sri Lanka pavilion set up by the Mission attracted more than thousand visitors displayed many Sri Lankan products such as colourful wall hangings, decorative masks, porcelain displays and hand woven items. Visitors enjoyed freshly brewed Sri Lankan ‘’Ginger Tea’’ along with ‘’Milk Toffee’’ and ‘’Thalaguli’’
The event was organised with the objective of promoting networking and the forging of cross cultural bonds between the local as well as the international community in Singapore.
Embassies, industry partners, the expatriate community and students from Temasek Polytechnic were present at the event.
