The Next Tidal Wave

"In the ambit between animal ethology and human psychology,
it is now well established that of all the higher organisms, humans manifest
the greatest resistance to change, preferring to repeat over and over behaviors
that lead to results undesirable from the point of view of the subject."

We do not have the right to be surprised. The Tigers did warn repeatedly - that in the coming weeks and months there would be an escalation of the attacks on the Sri Lankan forces in the North and the East. True officially the warnings came not from the LTTE but from various ‘civilian’ organizations which seem to be mushrooming in the North and the East.

These supposedly civilian organizations have been issuing statements demanding the withdrawal of Sri Lankan troops from the North and the East and threatening revenge if their warning were not heeded. Of course everyone knew that these organizations have been conjured into being by the Tiger; unfortunately their messages went mostly unheeded by the powers that be. We forgot that the Tigers do nothing in vain.
