Construction Chamber collaborates with ADB for Development of National Consulting Services

Colombo, 19 March, (Asiantribune.com): Chamber of Construction Industry Sri Lanka will collaborate with Asian Development Bank to host a two day seminar on “ Development of National Consulting Services”. The seminar will be held at Hotel Taj Samudara from 27th -28th March 2008. The seminar is designed to target participation from consultancy firms, non governmental organizations, universities, research institutions and state agencies engaged in the procurement process.

Asian Development Bank will provide the resource personnel drawn from the professional staff of ADB’s Consultancy Services Division in Manila.

The objective of the seminar is to strengthen Sri Lanka’s consulting capacity through the enhancement of awareness of the requirement for consultancy industry, strategic planning and better understanding of how to win profitable business opportunities. SWOT analysis of Sri Lanka’s construction industry, contract negotiation, project implementation performance evaluation and preparation of both technical and financial proposals will be extensively discussed using round table discussions as a strategy.

This should be an ideal opportunity for multi-disciplinary professional service providers to improve their capabilities and to those who are seeking such services as clients.
