Promotion of Belgium and Sri Lanka Business

Colombo, 13 April, (Asiantribune.com): The Sri Lanka Benelux Business Council together with the Belgium Consulate in Sri Lanka organized a presentation on “Strengthening Trade Relations Between the Flanders Region of Belgium and Sri Lanka” at the Hotel Taj Samudra. It was conducted by Marc Schiltz, Investment and Trade Commissioner and Ralph Moreau, Technology Attaché, Flanders Investment and Trade.

Ravinatha Ariyasinghe, Ambassador Designate to Belgium and Pierre Pringiers, Consul for Belgium in Sri Lanka also addressed the participants.

Flanders Investment and Trade is the official government agency for the region of Flanders (Flemish speaking part of Belgium) mandated to promote trade with Flanders, specially export of Flemish products and foreign investment.

The Sri Lanka Benelux Business Council (SLBBC) was formed in April 1992 as an affiliate of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce with objectives of the Business Council to promote trade and investment opportunities between Sri Lanka and the Benelux countries, to promote mutual understanding and strengthen relationships between Sri Lanka and the Benelux countries.
