Selected SMEs gets free stalls at Kunming Trade Fair in China

Colombo, 21 April, ( The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL) as earlier years are organizing a Trade Delegation to participate in the Kunming Import and Export International Trade Fair that will be held Kunming Province, China from 06-10 June, 2008.

This is one of the largest Trade Fairs in the work where more than 48 countries, including Australia, New Zealand , Papua New Guinea, South Asian countries, some European countries take part, exhibit and sell their products at Kunming Fair.

Those Sri Lanka entrepreneurs who participate and exhibit their products and services at Kunming Fair, they not only enter the massive Chinese market but also to the markets of 48 other counties. While selling the products to international markets, they can also look in to the products of other countries and select for import to Sri Lanka.

The exhibitors could sell in the spot and also earn export orders while earning money through on the spot sales. In this International Fair the exhibitor need not necessarily be a manufacturer or a producer. He could even take from open market and could sell at this fair.

These products could be Tea, Gem & Jewellary, Spice, Handlooms, Furniture, Porcelain, Coco Peat, Coir based products, Coconut based products, Arrack, Coconut oil, Garments, Ayurvedic & Herbal products, cosmetics, Art & Craft, Gift items, Jams & Cordials, Paints, Motor spare parts, Services such as Tourism, Investments, Insurance, Financial etc.

First come first serve basis some Sri Lankan Small and Medium entrepreneurs also stand a chance of availing themselves to free stalls at this fair and on concessionary terms. A fully pledged Exhibition booth of 3m x 3m with all electrical fittings, furniture fittings, name board, carpet, Chinese/English catalogue plus many other facilities will be offered free of charge. There would also be concessionary tour packages and one exhibitor could take with him four companions.

Last year FCCISL participation was awarded the first prize for the best participation and all the participants got export orders.
