East Provincial Council: UNP leads in Trincomalee Polling Division votes count in Trincomalee district

Colombo, 11 May, (Asiantribune.com): UNP Leads in Trincomallee polling Division in the Trincomalee district with 62.26% percent, out of the total votes polled.

In the East Provincial Council Election, Trincomalee Polling Division in Trincomalee district, votes counts released.

Out of the total of 91,598 registered votes in the polling division,
50,228 votes were polled. At the counting 5,020 votes were rejected.

Out of the 45,208 valid votes, United National Party obtained 28,146 votes which is 62.26% of the total votes polled, followed by United People's Freedom Alliance which received 13,828 votes which was 30.59 %, and Janatha Vimukthi Perumuna received 1,408 votes which was 3.11%.
