National Freedom Front leaders met the President

Colombo, 17 June, (Asiantribune.com): President Mahindha Rajapaksa agreed to summon other political parties and discuss the proposal put forward by the National Freedom Front on safeguarding the country and the people.

Senior leaders of the party met the President at the Temple Trees yesterday morning.

A senior spokesman of the NFF said Wimal Weerawansa , Nandana Gunathilaka and Piyasiri Wijenayake, leaders of the National Freedom Front, briefed their proposals to the President .

President Rajapaksa warmly welcomed the NFF leaders and said he would consider their proposals.

According to the party sources, the NFF recently unveiled their party proposals to safe guard the country and the people.

The NFF sources said it plans to set up a consultative committee to strengthen safe guard of the public and the country with the help of the President.

This was the first time the NLF leaders met the President after forming their party.
