Government of Sri Lanka approves to enter into a financing agreement with the IDA

Colombo, 28 June, (Asiantribune.com): Sri Lanka government plans to implement a Public Sector Capacity Building Project.

Cabinet has granted approval to enter into a financing agreement with the International Development Association of the World Bank for this project.

The aim of this project is to enhance the effectiveness, effectiveness and output of the Department of Census and Statistics and the Department of the Auditor General. Cabinet has also granted authorization to select Galgamuwa Village in the Monaragala District for the implementation of a rural electrification solar project.

The Indian Government in consultation with the Ministry of Power and Energy will implement the project.

Cabinet granted approval to submit to Parliament a supplementary estimate in order to provide funds for urgent reconstruction of the Batticaloa Municipal Council building and quarter’s complex.

A total sum of 120 million rupees will be provided in this regard. Cabinet also granted approval to take over the 'Kirindi Oya' farm land in Tissamaharama in Hambantota to set up a "Tele City".
